Yossi Arnheim is Principal Flutist of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and head of the wind programs at the Jerusalem Music Centre .
He is a frequent soloist with the Israel Philharmonic and other orchestras in Israel, and has performed as soloist and recitalist in the USA, Canada, Brazil, China, Singapore, Japan, Taiwan, Austria, Switzerland, France, Germany, Hungary, Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic and the Ukraine.
Mr. Arnheim also gives Master Classes for flute players all around the globe, and his career as an active chamber musician includes performances with world renowned artists.
Mr. Arnheim's 12 released recordings for international CD labels also feature a variety of styles, from Baroque to World Music.

The enchanting combination of flute and harp takes listeners onto a musical journey from some of the jewels of European music, Israeli and Middle Eastern music through the music of China, India and Japan.
Yossi Arnheim plays with IPO's Principal harpist Julia Rovinsky , who is Israels leading harp player of today, and a regular soloist and chamber musician on the Israeli concert scene.
The East Wind Duo performs since 1995, and has appeared in Israel, Europe, the USA and the Far East in recitals for various audiences and in performances of Mozarts Concerto for flute and harp. Their first album Dolury was released in 2001 by Brana Records, a new release of Mozarts Concerto has appeared 2005 under the DUX label.
Yossi Arnheim regularly performs recitals with pianist Irit Rub.
They have performed together in Israel, the USA, Germany, France, Japan and China and made various recordings
Irit Rub is one of Israel`s finest pianists of today. She has performed at the Israel Festival in Jerusalem and in concert tours in South Africa, Austria, Germany, France and Canada.

SheshBesh brings together Jewish musicians of the first ranks of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra with some of the finest musicians from the Arab Christian and Muslim communities in northern Israel.
It was founded in 1996, and has later become part of KeyNote, the Israel Philharmonic Orchestras program for musical education and community outreach.
As part of the KeyNote educational and outreach program of the IPO, SheshBesh appears regularly in schools both in the classroom, and in concerts for school children.
The IPO has commissioned the work Ode to Happiness by Gil Shochat to feature SheshBesh as a solo ensemble in a series of concerts for 4,000 school children at the Mann Auditorium in Tel Aviv.

J. Bardanashvili is Israel's prominent composer, an immigrant from the Republic of Georgia, and his works are being performed worldwide. The Concerto for Flute was commissioned by Yossi Arnheim, and composed in 1999-2000.
It has since been performed 11 times and proves to be a great success with audiences, press and musicians.

YIPO Recordings
The Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (YIPO) consists of Israel's finest young talented instrumentalists of ages 14-18. They assemble twice a year for a week long orchestra course where they live and work together, form friendships and go on a challenging and gratifying journey to become an excellent symphony orchestra. The orchestra gives the outstanding young musicians the passion for orchestra playing and exposes them to some of the best symphonic repertoire.
The YIPO is one of the main educational activities of the Jerusalem Music Centre (JMC) .
Yossi Arnheim is a member of the professional management team of the YIPO, responsible for the wind and percussion sections of the orchestra. His responsibility includes tracing of talented players, training them before and during the orchestra course, the choice of repertoire etc.
Instrument Days
In his Capacity as Director of Programs for Wind Instruments at the Jerusalem Music Centre , Yossi Arnheim initiates and supports in collaboration with the "Key-Note" program of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra national meetings for students of various wind instruments. In recent years an annual Horn Day, and special days for flute and trumpet took place. These events are meant to encourage young students to keep on playing their instruments and expose them to the highest level of playing by listening to top Israeli musicians and guests from abroad.
KeyNote is the Israel Philharmonic Orchestras program for Music Education and Community Outreach. Over 20,000 children of all ages and adults take part yearly in a diverse collection of activities centered on Israels finest orchestra.
The IPO reaches out to the young audience with intimate sessions in the classroom, and in specially designed school concerts at Tel Avivs Mann Auditorium, master classes, and private instruction.
Yossi Arnheim is an active participant in the KeyNote activities in classrooms, in the Arab-Jewish Ensemble SheshBesh and by generating ideas and special projects and collaborations.
